Our take

GM’s own PowerUp lands squarely on the 48 A class template: 11.5 kW on a 60 A circuit, about 41 miles of range per hour, a 25 ft cable matching the median of the 91 certified models we index, networking like 88 percent of them, and a 3.51 W idle draw within a whisker of the 3.34 W class median. Nothing here argues for or against it on numbers alone — which means any aftermarket unit with a lower idle draw or longer cable matches it everywhere else. Just 3 of our 29 tracked EVs use the full rate.
